Myself and a group of boats stopped for an afternoon anchorage in Coecles harbor last summer (2014) and ding'd over to the intriguing island. Upon talking with a few gentlemen that were setting up for a clambake, they informed us of the history and allowed us to take a quick look around.
LOVE the island and it's history. We will surely make it a destination each summer, and would like to plan a clambake of our own on it one day. Thanks
Outstanding job! A wonderful way of preserving history is through photographs and, through your website, you have done just that. Generations of visitors will enjoy this piece of island history for years to come. Whether by paddle, power boat or walking out at low tide, getting there is half the fun.
